There are various types of events organized in schools and other institutions on Republic Day. Often the beginning of the event starts with speech. A good start to any event is very important to boost the morale of the audience present there. A well-prepared republic day speech ensures a good atmosphere for the program.
You should create your own speech, keeping in mind the purpose of your program. If the event is organized for 3-4 hours, first talk to the organizers and get known how much time they have given to you for your speech. Do not prepare long speech it should be short and powerful because if your speech is long then the enthusiasm of the audience will be reduced rather than increase and other participants planning will also get affected by your long speech. People and participants will also think inside that when you will stop speaking so that the program could proceed.
It is essential that your speech is effective and when you leave the stage people to have the desire to listen to you more. There should be Smile on their face when you descend from the stage and are full of passion and fervor in the heart and applause with hands.
It doesn’t matter if the speech is small but it should be purposeful. The facts will remain the same but your pitching ability should be great and powerful.
The main thing is that whatever you are saying, first accept it, feel it, then tell it to others, only then your speech will be very effective.
Keep your costume organized. This will allow the viewer to feel attached to you by listening to you. On the occasion of Republic Day, if the school-college has given a dress code, then you should wear the same one. If the program is in a different place, then boys can wear kurta-pajama and Nehru jackets and girls can wear salwar-Kamis, kurta, and saris.
If you are the one who is going to start your schools or any other programs speech then this article will definitely be going to help you.
First of all, by reaching the stage, you should first greet everyone present in the meeting, introduce yourself, tell your name and the class in which you are studying. If you are speaking at any event other than your own school, then mention the name of your school or college. Give everyone the best wishes of Republic Day. Thank you to your class teacher and principal or organizer who gave you the opportunity to talk about your country on stage and on this great occasion.
Now you can say something like following in your speech.
Today all of us have gathered here on a very special occasion the 68th Republic Day. Republic Day for India is not only a festival but it is the honor. This day is the pride of every Indian, after the sacrifice of countless people, India got independence on August 15, 1947, but we can say that we got actual independence on January 26, 1950, because on this day our constitution came into force.
Constitution of India is a written constitution. It took 2 years 11 months and 18 days to build our constitution. Indian constitution with 395 paragraphs and 8 schedules is the largest written constitution in the world. On January 26, 1950, Dr. Rajendra Prasad was sworn in as the first President of India in the Darbar Hall of the Government House. The President of Indonesia Sukarno Was the Chief Guest of India’s first Republic Day.
The ‘Republic’ means- Only the people have the right to choose their representative as the political leader for the people living in the country and for the leadership of the country in the right direction. Therefore, India is a republic country where the general public chooses its leader, Prime Minister. Our great Indian freedom fighters fought a lot in India for full Swaraj. They sacrificed their lives so that our generation should not face any conflicts and we could take the country forward.
The great leaders and freedom fighters of our country are Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri etc. To make India an independent country, these people fought consistently against the British We can never forget their dedication to our country. We should salute them on such great occasions by remembering them. Only because of these people, it was possible that we can think of our mind and remain free in our nation without any pressure.
Dr. Abdul Kalam has said that if a country is corruption free then the country will become beautiful minds nation. He believed that there are 3 prime members, who can create differences. They are – Mother, Father and a Guru. As a citizen of India, we should seriously think about it and make every possible effort to increase our country’s honor in the whole world. We must take responsibility and be aware of social issues like poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, global warming, inequality etc. and contribute to our level.
On the occasion of Republic Day, the tricolor is hoisted on the Rajpath. Then the national anthem is sung and 21 guns salute occurs. In 1957, the government had started the ‘National Bravery Award’ for the children. Bravery Awards are given to children under the age of 16 years for bravery in different areas. On the occasion of Republic Day, important honors like Ashok Chakra and Kirti Chakra are given. After this, our army exhibits its power and parade march.
Every year on January 26, the men’s jawans have been showing astonishing stunt in a parade on Delhi’s Rajpath, but now women will also start to make stunts. Women of this group, named ‘Border Bhavani’, are now preparing to show such amazing stunts like Pyramid, Fish Riding, Shaktiman, Bulb Fighting, Border Guard, and other amazing tricks and it is a matter of great pride for us. This gives evidence that women are being empowered in society.
Thanks, Jai Hind!
