There is news of great relief for millions of drivers across the country. The government can soon introduce a new policy for digital driving license and RC. Under this new policy, if a driver forgets his vehicle’s papers, driving license etc. at home then his car will not be seized nor will the challan be deducted. But, for this, the driver must have a digital driving license and vehicle papers.
From this new policy of the government, the driver can verify his car papers from his mobile. Apart from this, the Ministry of Transportation has also created a new policy for heavy vehicles. According to this new policy, all heavy vehicles will have to go through a fitness test once every two years. In the next two days, the Ministry of Transportation can issue advisory for the amendment of the new motor rule. According to the media report, the Ministry of Transportation has talked to all the authorities for this.
According to the newly proposed draft rules of the Ministry of Transportation, trucks used for construction will have to be covered with closed containers as used in European countries. Apart from this, there is a change in the policy for long distance travel drivers. Considering the safety of the passengers, the FASTags device has to be installed in long distance vehicles. Along with this, reflexive taps and vehicle tracking systems will also be set up.

Changes in fitness rules of vehicles are also being made. Vehicles older than 8 years have to undergo fitness tests. New vehicles got relaxation in fitness test. It will be necessary to do this fitness test once every two years. This will help to keep the environment safe.
