Marathi film Sairat is the milestone of Indian cinema, the closer it is to reach, not just about every filmmaker’s. But director Shashank Khaitan raised the risk of launching Sridevi’s daughter Jhanwi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khattar with the Hindi remake of Sairat. With the Dhadak trailer, the film was being compared to Sairat and it went on growing with every song and every poster.
But now after the release, the Dhadak will be able to replace the sairat among the audience. The music of the film is a definite highlight. Ajay-Atul pulls the right strings for this one, two tracks from Sairat have been reinvented, one of which is the huge hit Zingaat. The background score of the film (John Stewart Eduri) is designed interestingly and it blends in with the setting of this story. The film also has some stunning cinematography by Vishnu Rao, who makes a pretty picture out of the landscapes of Udaipur. While the editing is crisp in the first half, the pace slackens a bit in the latter parts.
Box office: Marathi film ‘Sairat’ was made in a budget of around Rs 4 crore and according to the news, the cost of the Dhadak film is being estimated at 55 crores and if the budget of the promotion is added, then this film is being mentioned as 70 crore.
